3-D images, glasses, and Web sites
Images3-D images combine two views of a scene -- one for the left eye and one for the right - and there are a number of ways to combine such image pairs. The 3-D images on this site are called anaglyphs, which use two colors for the images. A common color combination is red and blue; red is used here for the left-eye view. When an anaglyph is viewed through proper glasses each eye sees its own view and the image appears in 3-D. Allow a few seconds for your eyes to become accustomed to the colored glasses.
