Final Eros Images: Range 700 meters (2,300 Feet) NEAR Shoemaker's image of asteroid 433 Eros taken from a range of 700 meters (2,300 feet). The image is 33 meters (108 feet) across. The large, oblong rock casting a big shadow measures 4.3 meters (14 feet) across.
