Sunset in the Saddle

NEAR Shoemaker took this picture of an Eros sunset on November 20, 2000, from a 193-kilometer (120-mile) altitude. The camera is pointed nearly south, looking obliquely at the far wall of the saddle, which is illuminated by the setting sun. The whole scene is about 9.3 kilometers (5.8 miles) across.
